This is a project about art, but it is also about the genre of commercial photography. This project is a discussion of the boundary between commercial photography and
fine-art. Is commercial photography an art? Can one image be an advertisement but also fit right into a gallery
exhibition and then so be called art?
Art is all around us - everything you see could be art depending on the way you view it. Alongside this, everything is a product; everything you own or touch is a product, and therefore could be used in a commercial
photographic advertisement.
Everything can be art if you want it to be. Everything is a product. All of the images
produced in this project is an everyday
object, something you wouldn’t think of
seeing an advertisement on a billboard. All of the images produced are
commercial images, taken in a commercial setting. But all my images are art, because I made them with the intention of being art. I am an artist and a commercial photographer.
